In her practice as an ARTIST, Ana’s work primarily focuses on sculptural ceramics and works on paper. Her work in ceramics seeks to avoid siloing her skills and integrates design and typography. Her current focus is trompe-l’œil representations of everyday, ephemeral objects used in office environments and by makers in their processes. Her works on paper utilize a similar philosophy using everyday, ephemeral materials as well as natural matter.
In her practice as a DESIGNER, Ana works on client-based and self-generated projects. Her design work has been recognized by The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), The Society of Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD), the American Association of Museums (AAM), How Magazine, Print Magazine, Graphis, Mohawk Papers, University College Designers Association (UCDA), and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
As an EDUCATOR, Ana taught graduate and undergraduate courses at the California College of the Arts (CCA), Otis College of Art and Design, and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD).
