Atlanta Youth Latin Ballroom Dance Classes are now being offered by Ana Llorente, a World Dance Champion and Educator. Ana is well known for her experience in educating youth on how to dance from the simple and social skills to the advanced and competitive levels. Some of her previews students include USA Pre-teen and Junior National Champions. Students will also have the opportunity to be taught by advance dancers from Ana's dance company.

School Programs are divided into 4 seasons, the Fall, the Winter, the Spring Program and the Summer Camp. The instructions can be offered in English and/or Spanish.

Principal objectives for the classes are to:

1. Master the movements for the Latin Ballroom techniques, from the basics to the most advanced,

2. Develop the performance skills and the creative artistic potential of each student,

3. Help each student to develop a sense of discipline and the art of working with others,

4. Introduce the children to the fascinating world of another culture, and

5. Develop an appreciation of bringing musicality into the movement.

Each program will have different prices based on the age, the number of hours and the activities and a registration fee will apply. We will accept only certain number of students per class. We will open more classes based on attendance. The classes are divided into different age categories:

Ages 5 to 12 and Ages 13 up

Dance styles include the most popular dances such as Swing, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Mambo, Waltz, Tango, Bolero, Samba and many more.

Many children and teens have begun to discover the fun and challenge of DanceSport. We believe that ballroom dancing offers many physical, mental and social benefits to children that other dance styles may not always offer.

Physical Benefits:
* Tones & strengthens the body comfortably without strenuous aerobic workout.
* Stimulates the circulatory system naturally.
* Creates more fluid, balanced movement and flexibility.

Social Benefits:
* Builds teamwork through dance partnerships.
* Teaches positive communication and relationship skills.
* Encourages greater appreciation for the cultural aspects of dance and music.

Mental Benefits:
* Promotes discipline through practice and routines.
* Builds self-confidence through accomplishment.
* Encourages goal setting.

What we learn as children inevitably extends into our adult lives. DanceSport is a lot of fun and helps children to acquire the social skills that will be useful to them for the rest of their lives.
