Ana LLorente started her dance career in Havana, where she graduated with Honors from the Cuban National School of Arts specializing in Modern Dance and Afro-Cuban Folklore, her extensive training and dedication gave her the opportunity to win a scholarship in Choreography at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, USA, this scholarship, coming from a USA based institution, was a completely unique opportunity for a Cuban citizen. The Cuban National institution of writers and artist, also gave her a recognition as the best performer and choreographer of her age after a very important and only invitational dance festival in Havana. Today she is dedicating her talents almost entirely to Ballroom and all types of Latin dance instruction and competitive dancing. She has been invited to perform around the world at the Greek DanceSport Championship (Athens, Greece), European Championship (England), internationally televised prestigious Ballroom in Concert (Vienna, Austria), Italian Open to the World Championship, "Ballroom Fever" (City Center, New York), Dance Yuma Factory (Osaka, Japan), Heritage DanceSport Championship , PBS Television Special for USA Dancesport Championship, Canadian Open, International Dance Festival (Vail, Colorado) ...among many others. Ana also has served as a Choreographer and Principal dancer in many MTV videos for Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Will Smith, Julio Iglesias, Chayanne, Vanessa Williams, Gipsy Kings in Concert, "Boleros" with Ricardo Montalban, famous Latin singer Johnny Ventura and she was the principal dancer of "Dirty Dancing"#2 "Havana Nights". Ana has won numerous National and International Dance honors and titles. She is the World Mambo Champion, Argentine Tango World finalist, Theater Arts runner up at Blackpool, World's Exhibition and USA Nationals winner, American Rhythm Canadian Champion, and American Rhythm USA finalist. Ana is currently competing professionally, performing and coaching other professionals all over the USA and around the world. She is also involved in the PRO-AM World (Professional partnering amateurs for competitions and shows) at the same time, teaching and performing with her students preparing them for success. Some of the students include USA International Latin and American Rhythm finalists. Ana is well known for bringing a real and authentic Latin flavor to DanceSport along with her understanding of modern choreography and its application to the body. Education Awards
